Pratham Orissa is a non government voluntary organization
working in the field of primary education. In order to address
this serious situation and improve the standards of learning
in our schools, Pratham Orissa has launched a state level
Campaign called “Padha Orissa Gadha Orissa”. This Campaign
aims to conduct a month long Summer Learning Camp in every one
of the 51000 or so government primary schools to enhance basic
reading and arithmetic competency of our children during the
months of May-June.
On behalf of Pratham-Orissa, may I earnestly solicit your
benign cooperation to support this noble campaign to reach out
to all the 51000 villages in Orissa in terms of helping us to
generate resources from Public and the Corporate Sectors (Both
Public and Private) to donate their shares to this cause.
Before you decide to make any contribution, we would encourage
you to visit Pratham-Orissa and see first hand our activities.
In case you are an NRI, anyone on your behalf in India can
visit us. This is obviously not mandatory, but an attempt on
our part to acquaint you with our organisation better and for
you to be sure before helping us financially or otherwise.
We need your continued support to help families in our
communities in need. The need is overwhelming, and the work
never ends. It is only through your donations that we can help
one human being -- one family at a time.
We appeal to all our friends and well-wishers to join hands
and help Pratham-Orissa to achieve its objectives by
