About US

Pratham Orissa started in the slums of Cuttack in 2003, as a result of the vision of to tackle the problem of universalizing primary education.
PrathamOrissa activities have now spread to 5 districts across Orissa covering more than 50000 Children. After the Read Orissa it touches 25 rural districts across Orissa. Assistance has come from the local governments, leading entrepreneurs and the local citizens. Since inception the goal of the Pratham Orissa team has been to ensure that "every child is in school and is learning well". Over this 5 years period PrathamOrissa has reached out around 300000 children. An accelerated learning method, in which an unlettered child starts reading and computing basic mathematics
